This is a mixed media piece consisting of acrylic modeling paste on 300 lb water color paper,acrylic paint and metallic powder heated with a heat gun to boil the paint to create a more interesting texture.
At the time I created this piece, I was really confused of where I was going as an artist. What path would I take, and I was a mess on the inside. I created pocket like structures on the surface and painted them gold. Those were my symbolic pockets filled with creativity poking out from all the chaos. Recent NewsProject Art Aid - Charlotte
